Josh Van Der Flier is an Irish rugby player who plays as a flanker for Leinster and the Irish national team.



Life and Career

Josh Van Der Flier was born on the 25 of April,1993 in Wicklow. He is of Dutch descent through his paternal grandparents who moved to Ireland in the 1950s to open a radiator factory. Van Der Flier attended Wesley College and University College Dublin.

As part of the Leinster Academy he eventually played with the senior team and made his debut against Zebre in 2014. The next year he would be given a senior team contract. He played in the Champions Cup and the United Rugby Championship.

In 2016 he was called up to the Ireland squad where he showed that he was a standout player with great potential as a flanker. He made his debut at the six nations in a loss to England at Twickenham Stadium.

About  Brian O'Driscoll is an Irish rugby union player and is regarded as one of the greatest players of all time . He played as 13 or outside centre for Leinster rugby team, he also Captained the Irish national team and the British and Irish Lions, a combined squad of the best players from the UK and Ireland. O'Driscoll is the fourth most capped player in rugby history with 141 appearances. He is the 8th highest try scorer in international rugby history with 47 tries. The Autumn Nations Series 2022 Interesting Matches

The Autumn Nations Series are rugby test matches played during October and November. It involves teams from the northern hemisphere playing against teams from the southern hemisphere. Teams usually play 2-4 matches and the results contribute to the World Rugby's ranking system.
